Yesterday's βWalk For Hope" went really well. Eric Walters began his walk in Hamilton. I was able to join him in west Burlington at 7 am and walk with him for 3 and ½ hours (what was about 20,000 steps for me). I stopped in Oakville. Eric continued on and finished about suppertime in Toronto. He covered about 48.8 km(53,000 steps) in the day. As of noon today, βWalk for Hope" had raised $14,328.00. I am going to start out walking with Eric. Because of my ankylosing spondylitis , I know that walking the entire 42 km will not be possible for me. I will walk as far as I can on May 14th I'm hoping you would be willing to make a donation to assist Creation of Hope in closing this funding gap. The link to go directly to the page is below. This link will take you to an organization called Hope Story that manages donations for Creation of Hope. They are able to issue tax receipts
On May 14th, Eric is going to be walking 42 kilometers from the Burlington/Hamilton border to Toronto to raise money for Creation of Hope. When he visits Kenya, Eric often spends time walking the dusty roads, through the mountain passes to meet people and visit homesteads. Now instead of walking in Kenya, he is walking for Kenya. At the same time, Ruth will be walking with some of the orphans in Kenya.
