Everything Maple BBQ Ribs
This is a house specialty and one of my secret recipes! Please don’t tell anyone!
Ingredients:
2 kg (5 lb). pork side ribs (you may use baby backs if you like, but hey, great food doesn’t have to cost an arm and a rib!)
350 ml (2 c) Everything Maple BBQ Sauce (try our Yikes version for a bit of adventure, or Fury if you feel the need for a burn)
Instructions:
·Cut the ribs into manageable pieces – sections of two or three ribs. Put all the ribs into a pot of boiling, salted water, and allow to simmer for at least an hour. Remove the ribs from the water and pat dry. Slather the ribs with your choice of Everything Maple BBQ Sauce (in this case, more is better!) Grill on very low heat, turn once and add more sauce as desired.Tip: Be careful – this sauce is 40% pure maple syrup! And while you want it to carmelize, you don’t want it to scorch. (Burnt offerings ended in 500 B.C.!)
Long, slow cooking makes for succulent, tender ribs, with the meat falling off the bone. Yummy! Be sure to call me up and tell me what time to arrive!
