Pizza dough
1.4 kg (3 c) flour
1 pkg quick rise yeast
30 ml (1/4 c) canola oil
5 g (1 tsp) sugar
10 g (2 tsp) salt
225 ml (1 c) warm water
*You can use store bought pizza dough, or a prepared pizza crust if you prefer.
Add yeast & sugar to warm water and allow to foam. Mix flour, salt in a large bowl. Add yeast water & oil, mix with hands until formed into a ball...you may have to add a bit more water...should form together nicely, without being sticky.
On a floured surface, knead the dough until elastic...15 or 20 fold, and roll kneads will do. Cover with plastic, and set in a warm place to rise. When it has doubled in size, punch it down, and let rest for 10 min before placing on a greased pan. stretch the dough out until it fills the pan, pressing with your fingertips to make an edge. Let rest.
Meanwhile:
Slice thin strips of sirloin steak
{these are even better if you marinate them for a while in Maple Balsamic or Maple Marinade}
Slice onions & mushrooms if desired
Pour 15 ml (1 tbsp) of olive oil into a skillet. Add meat and veggies and cook for 5 min. Remove from heat.
Pour a generous amount of Maple BBQ sauce (whichever heat you like best) onto the dough.
Spread the meat & veggies over the BBQ sauce
Sprinkle with your favourite pizza cheese ( i use mozzarella & parmesan)
Bake in a 400*F oven for 20 minutes...checking often. Enjoy!
