Last year our generous and caring community contributed over $76,000 to life-saving cancer research. With your continued support, in 2018 our community will have given over $2,000,000 to the Terry Fox Foundation since our first Run in 1983. This Run demonstrates the Heart of Georgian Bay like no other charitable event.
The research you are funding is working; survival rates and longevity have vastly improved for many types of cancer recently. You are saving lives. Great advances are being made in microbiology and artificial intelligence to prevent/cure cancer. There is still much to do; more research is needed. Our fundraising efforts are still desperately needed.
I thank you for leading by example in the past. We need your participation again in 2018. I look forward to the day when we no longer have to fund and search for a cure for cancer but for now we continue to need your generous contribution. Please join us and lead the way again in 2018.
