About Us Page

Pets @ Home will be there to care for your pets when you can't. Pet Sitting, Dog Walking, House Sitting. I'm the mother of two grown children and a lifelong ...pet lover. Having to leave our pets at the local kennel was one of the hardest things I can remember doing. Through Pets @ Home I now enjoy spending time with a variety of pets and provide a much needed service to my customers. By allowing pets to stay in their own home and walk in their own neighbourhoods, while their family is away, the stress on the animal is greatly decreased and you will have more peace of mind regarding their care. Excellent references and current police check.
Q: What is the difference between Pets @ Home and Kennel Services? A: In your own home pet(s) have the freedom they are used to with no confining cages? You don't have to worry about dropping off and picking up your pet. Vaccinations or sedation are not required. Q: Will my pet(s) be happier staying at home? A: Your pet(s) will have their own toys, bed, food and general surroundings. As the saying goes there is no place like home. Q: How can Pets @ Home ensure my house is secure? A: While you are away you can arrange for Pets @ Home staff to stay in your home ensuring night time security.
Testimonials
We have two (2) cats and two (2) tanks of goldfish. Patricia Creary has been our pet sitter for close to two (2) years.
We were impressed right from the beginning as she insisted on meeting us at our home to introduce herself in person to us and our pets. At that initial meting, she recorded down important information for her records. She is very thorough.
Phone and email make Patricia easy to contact. She is quick to return calls and answer emails; therefore, details for pet sitting can be quickly arranged.
Her well-organized files not only contained important facts about the pets but also showed her previous work experiences and gave us people we could contact if we wanted references.
We have found Patricia to be dependable and trustworthy. She has an obvious love of animals. She's conscientious. She ensures that we are aware when she visits the animals and follows up after we return home. She will make helpful suggestions to ensure that our pets are comfortable during our absence.
We would not hesitate to refer Patricia to anyone.

Patricia Creary is currently our dog walker of choice and has been since September, 2008. It was a lucky day when I came across a flyer of her services at the local vet. Since that time, I have used her services on several occasions.
In my absence, Patricia has developed a positive rapport with both our dog and my elderly mother. She has proven herself to be punctual, reliable, well-organized, enthusiastic, and trustworthy in her service to others.
Patricia demonstrates commitment to the well-being of others, treating them with kindness and respect. She provides a safe environment. For example, when we first availed ourselves of her services, Patricia came to the house to interview me and meet Diva. Together we completed a form regarding the dog’s likes and dislikes and usual routines. Patricia also asked for contact information for my mother, which was most reassuring to me during my absence, knowing that her support was available. After my most recent absence, Patricia called to report that she had observed Diva to have an issue with one of her paws.
I would highly recommend her for this position or any other service you wish Patricia to provide. In fact, I have already told our vet, Scott Watson, of Penetang Veterinary Services, that I have been very very pleased with her work and have no hesitation about recommending her to others.

Patricia Creary has been employed by us as our pet and house sitter. She impressed us with her attention to detail and preparedness. Our pets were immediately taken with her kind manner. When faced with a “minor” household emergency she showed initiative and resourcefulness, and had the problem repaired without us having to cut short our trip. SHM
I am writing to thank you again for looking after Brie. One of the major issues with having a pet is ensuring that they are cared for if you have to go out of town. Knowing that our little girl was being well looked after was a great relief. From the time we first met you we knew you were approaching dog sitting and house sitting as a professional. The fact that you wanted to meet us before committing spoke volumes of your approach. You took the time to ensure you knew what Brie’s schedule and routine were as well as to know what our expectations were. When we spoke with you about the weekend we were away and you said you had made the decision to stay with Brie because she was upset you showed your concern was for Brie and her care. Now, planning for our two-week holiday this summer our biggest concerns about going away have been taken care of. Having you look after Brie and staying at the house will allow us to relax and enjoy our vacation. Again thank you for looking after Brie and we are looking forward to using your service in the near future.

I am pleased to have had the opportunity to discover the services provided by Patricia Creary from Pets@Home. I am typically a very cautious and non-trusting type of person, who would never choose to have a stranger in my home. I recently had a forgotten hockey tournament come up, with no plans made for our household of pets. In the past we have asked friends or family to care for our dog Rollie, but he can be a bit of a nuisance when he is missing us and away from home. I felt my only option was a kennel, and I was worried about how his poor, fragile ego would deal with that – Dalmations are sensitive, and we had adopted him two years ago (he is now 9) where it took him months to feel comfortable. I had seen an ad in Pet Valu, and thought I would call just to see what the service was about. Patricia happened to have time in her schedule for this last minute arrangement, but she insisted that she come to our home to meet us and our zoo. The discussion and paperwork took some time, but it was a very effective exercise in making me comfortable with how the arrangement would proceed. I was very impressed with her dossier of furry friends and related paperwork. In particular, I felt comforted in hearing her stories of the animals as she smiled at their photos. A small touch, but powerful. Patricia was patient in seeing where the food was stored, seeing the turtles and fish, meeting the dog and tracking down the cats. She asked questions I would not have thought of, such as where the electrical panel and water shut off was in case of emergency. Patricia even thought to bring a treat of some grapefruit on one visit to offer our dog, who has funny tastes. Upon our return, we found Rollie to be excited to see us, but happy and well-balanced. I know that keeping him at home was the right decision, and I have to thank Patricia for allowing us to have that option.

To prospective clients of “Pets@Home” pet care and house sitting services: I have had occasion to use Patricia’s service on several occasions. She visited and cared for my two pets as requested, and called me from my home on each visit to let me know that all was well with the animals and house. She also brought in the newspapers and mail so that the house would seem occupied. It sure made me feel better to know that my cats were being fed and equally importantly, cuddled and loved in my absence. Her rates are absolutely reasonable for all she does, and for what it means to me. I trust and recommend her whole-heartedly.
SS
We have used the services of Pets@ Home on several occasions and have been very pleased with the results. Our cat is always happy and relaxed when we get home, and hardly seems to have missed us.
I would certainly recommend her service.

Call Brian Young, C.E.A., Natural Resources Canada Certified Energy Advisor
Serving Midland, Orillia, Barrie and Surrounding Areas
WHAT CAN AN ENERGY AUDIT DO FOR YOU?
Homes older than ten years can reduce energy waste by up to 30% or more. At present energy costs, building components such as old furnaces, leaky windows, inefficient air conditioners, poor attic and basement insulation, are wasting a lot of energy and costing you a lot of money. What will your energy costs be in the future without upgrades?
WHY ENERGY AUDITS, REPORTS AND GRANTS MAKE SENSE
Like most homeowners, you want to save money and increase the value of your home. How do you know if you are losing more energy and money through your attic or through your windows? Does it make more sense to replace your furnace or add more insulation into an exterior wall? The energy audit and report will provide you with this information.
YOU CAN COORDINATE HOME RENOVATIONS WITH ENERGY SAVING UPGRADES AND GRANTS
EXAMPLE: You plan to install new exterior siding. Your energy report suggests increasing exterior wall insulation by R10 or more. You could then plan to add insulation under the new siding and access an insulation grant for $3,750.00 (grant amounts vary).
If your window frames need to be modified to accommodate the added thickness of insulation and new siding and your windows need upgrading, why not consider upgrading those windows and access a grant? i.e., 12 windows, Grant: $960.00.
You can lower your energy bills, renovate and get up to $10,000 in Ontario and Federal rebates.
