UPDATE
Today at 1:50pm OPP officers along with members of the Tiny Township Fire Service and Simcoe County Paramedic Services were dispatched to a report of a snowmobiler through the ice in Penetanguishene Bay off Peek-A-Boo Trail in Tiny Township.
Emergency services members responding to the call searched the ice surface for the snowmobile operator who was later found by searchers warming up in a vehicle on Peek-A-Boo Trail.

THIN ICE AND OTHER ICE DANGERS
(TAY TOWNSHIP, ON)- Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to make all local ice surface users aware of the dangers of ice conditions.
With the recent cold weather local water surfaces have froze over in the Southern Georgian Bay area. OPP officers would like to remind everyone to check ice conditions before venturing out and a reminder to wear appropriate clothing and equipment for safety sake.
