NEWS to Landlords and Tenants. The Landlord Tenancy Act refers to the FireCode which states that all Chimneys are to be inspected annually. Have you had your done?? Maintenance of heating systems QUOTE-- 17. Heating systems, including stoves, heating appliances, fireplaces intended for use, chimneys, fans, pumps and filtration equipment, shall be maintained in a good state of repair and in a safely operable condition. O. Reg. 517/06, s. 17.
