On Oct 13 we had AIM Chimney Sweep install a wood stove in our existing fireplace. We were concerned about the look of the new stove deterring from the aesthetics of the original brick and the mess of the installation. We should not have been concerned. Jared and Conner, the installers from AIM, were professional, careful, knowledgable, respectful, and an overall joy to be around. They never rushed the installation, making sure everything was done correctly....even fabricating a face plate on site to match the original fireplace perfectly! They also patiently explained everything to us, making sure that we understood how to cure, work, and care for our new stove. We were completely impressed by the entire process, which left us with a clean house and a beautiful new wood stove. We highly recommend AIM, especially Jared and Conner.

Job complete with professionalism and attention to perfection. We had our furnace changed a couple years ago by a local retail location, where they build Bar B Qs and fire places and had them redo our chimney at that time which created build up and down drafts. We called Aim to have them look at replacing and fixing our issues. It was a pleasure to have them fix the problems but to do it with the expertise and flawless install was amazing!!! Not very often do I take the time to review the services we have been provided, but I felt like I needed to provide some feedback for Cater and Jarred. They arrived at our cottage this morning to sweep our chimney. As new cottage owners, we had many questions for them - they were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of them in a very friendly manner. They identified a couple minor problems and rectified them for us, and left everything neat and tidy. Just really nice young men. Our new wood stove is just what we wanted. It was a replacement for an insert and it is CDN made and really throws the heat. Jared and Carter are polite, well spoken, knowledgable and get the job done. They clean up afterwards and are impressive young guys. Yvette is a good communicator and keeps you in the know. Had a new wood stove installed, ran into problem due to to old fireplace position with a roof cricket. The guys were just AMAZING!!! Quickly redid their install plans, ran back to the shop and got the needed parts. Everything went seamless. Hats off to you and your grandkids!!!!!! They are true professionals! To use anyone else for installing a wood burning device would be crazy. A quick shout out to Chimmney Chick for her great help and customer service!!!!

I had my chimney cleaned for my fireplace yesterday. Jared and Carter were a pleasure to have in my home. They were both courteous and professional about the work they did. Answered all my questions and had the job done quickly. There was no trace they had even been there. They cleaned everything up afterwards and had taken measures while setting up with tarps. From the moment I phoned Aim, this has been not just a positive experience, but a joyful one. We were recently required to have a WETT inspection done on a very old but stable stone fireplace. After booking an appointment, they phoned to offer an earlier date due to a cancellation (nice surprise). We were pleasantly greeted on site by Jared, (one of their service techs) who answered all of our questions and offered us quite a few suggestions and multiple options to meet certification. After showing us the various models available he was more than helpful and fully knowledgeable about what would work best for us. I have been dealing with Vince at AIM for decades. We first called him randomly as we wanted the chimney cleaned, and the company was local at the time. Turns out we had a damaged chimney which they totally repaired. We could not get over how professional and thorough they were! Shortly after that, the company moved up north, but still serviced the original customers in my area. We upgraded to an Osburn wood stove 26 years ago, and look forward to the annual cleaning/service visit. A well run family business with knowledge and integrity. Last week we had an Osburn fireplace insert installed by the Aim team. Apart from being very happy with our new fireplace and the difference it has made to the warmth of our house, we were very impressed by the installation. The guys were friendly, informative and very neat and tidy. Every part of the job was done efficiently and there was even a coaching session at the end to make sure I understood how to use the unit properly. We will be using AIM for our regular chimney sweeps from now and and I will be recommending them to others without hesitation.

We have just had AIM Chimney tear down an old brick chimney and install a Stainless Steel replacement and relocate the cook stove to an outer wall of the cottage. It took the scheduled two days. The work looks good. The crew was fun to work with and the clean up was complete. The WETT certificate is in the process of being issued. All in all a great experience and I would recommend using them on your project!

I recently contacted Aim Chimney for an opinion regarding wetness problems we were experiencing, as a result of a chimney rebuild and roof repair done by a contractor. With the photos I sent her, Yvette was able to suggest a number of possible scenarios. She included drawings that helped explain what should have been done. As a result, I was able to approach the contractor with knowledge and confidence. I am very appreciative and sincerely grateful to Yvette, for the time she took to respond to my questions. I regret that we are too far away to have Aim Chimney correct the problem if the original contractor doesn't. She did, however, provide me with the name of a reliable company in our area. VINCE DELIVERS...AND STANDS BY HIS GUARANTEES We have a century-old cottage and when the insurance changed hands when we bought it, the insurance company told us that we had to get our gorgeous, old, stately stone hearth WETT certified. Vince said he could do this with a chimney liner....and he guaranteed that this would work. But it didn't. It belched smoke. We gave up. And so Vince came back and installed an insert, and made it work. He stood by his work and he came and fixed it when it didn't. Thanks Vince. Great job!

CHIMNEY SWEEP Very professional team. They wee very clean and respected carpeted areas around the fireplace as it was swept. I am more than pleased that when I followed up for a subsequent cleaning, they were able to assess our use over the phone first before simply sending out a cleaning team unnecessarily. First off they answered all my questions through email. They were very patient and met all my needs. When they came to service my chimney they were very professional and punctual and remained within budget. Be very cautious when dealing with this company! They quite job for $2000 and send bill for $2600! Took advantage of a situation.. just because they were featured on Holmes for Holmes doesn't mean they have integrity!
Good morning Rob We are surprised with your comments and apologize if you are not happy as you did approve the work and price and the work was performed in a timely manner. We also moved another client in order to get you done within your timelines - that were quite rushed. When our tech initially comes out to look at any project and assess each specific situation, they give the client a rough estimate, and that is what it is... an Estimate. Once the paperwork and photographs come back to the office and the needs of the project are detailed and itemized we then prepare our quote. We piece out and price the required projects components and time needed to complete, add on the 13% taxes and labour charges and email or mail you a definitive quite. It is then up top the client to approve or disapprove the final pricing. You did approve of the price and gave the go ahead for the project and it was completed within your short timeline.
I purchased the PSG Caddy with the advice of a dealer in my hometown to replace my existing wood stove. They were very professional with the installation of my new unit. This heating unit is second to none, after only one week of burning, I have calculated that I will burn less than half the wood next winter. It should pay for itself in the next three years.

Jan 07-16 Thank you! Dear Yvette-I hope you received the phone message I left before Christmas saying thank you to you, Vince & Ken for sticking with me until the smoking chimney was fixed. As you know I was getting very nervous about the whole thing but everyone was very kind and reassuring. We had a lovely big fire every day over Christmas week and I think the chimney is working even better than before! That is something I didn’t expect. All the best to the “Aim Team” for 2016. It was a pleasure to do business with this company in order to acquire a WETT certification. I made an appointment and scheduled a visit from them and even though it was one month later due to their busy schedule which is understandable Vince arrived on time and completed his inspection and provided expert information and advice. A minor fix was needed and there was no hard sell on anything that was not needed. Vince returned in a few days and completed the fix. A job well done by all concerned.
