Team Triple Tech Gives Back to Camp Kitchi
Situated on Beausoleil Island in gorgeous Georgian Bay, Camp Kitchikewana has been welcoming campers from all over since 1919. Owned and operated by the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka, Camp Kitchi is graciously supported by a variety of service groups including the Midland Y’s Men’s Club, the Midland, Penetanguishene & District Builders’ Association (MPDBA) and Team Triple Tech!
For 100 years, Camp Kitchikewana has provided each member of the camp community with the opportunity to be active, to learn and to grow in a safe, healthy and natural environment. That’s why we are so happy to be able to give back!
Each year, members of the MPDBA visit Camp Kitchi to assess the repair and maintenance needs on various buildings, structures, and features. The members then assemble a team of skilled tradespeople and volunteers to give their time and materials to complete these needed projects - and that’s where the fun begins!
Team Triple Tech was happy to head over to Camp Kitch for our second year of fun and hard work with other likeminded local volunteers. From Friday to Sunday, we worked and played to benefit campers for years more to come.
With our expertise and experience in plumbing, Team Triple Tech was assigned the task of revamping the outdoor wash station. We were happy to join forces with Bryte Custom Contracting to complete this fun and unique project!
We kept with the theme, history, and spirit of Camp Kitchi and decided to repurpose an unused fiberglass canoe as the washbasin/sink. Bradley and Ryan from Bryte Custom Contracting reframed the structure of the wash station to accommodate the canoe while Triple Tech’s own Darrell and Dave planned and installed all of the new plumbing fixtures. Check out the pictures below of the team at work and the finished project!
