Kim Mitchell Partners with the Safe and Sober Awareness Committee to Release another Public Safety Message (MIDLAND, ON) – With Police Week and Canada Road Safety Week underway, another unique public safety message has been released through the cooperation of Canadian Rock icon Kim Mitchell with the Safe and Sober Awareness Committee which meets regularly here at Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
The attached catchy audio PSA message set to the hit song “Rock and Roll Duty” reaches out to drivers/operators of cars, boats, motorcycles and ATV’s to Never Drive Impaired. The PSA can also be played at the following link https://soundcloud.com/user-70820948/north-simcoe-safe-sober-awareness-rock-roll-duty-may-14-2018
The Safe and Sober Awareness Committee has been making drivers aware of the dangers and consequences of Impaired Driving for over 20 years. It is comprised of members from OPP, Ministry of Transportation, Anishinabek Police Service, Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit and local concerned businesses and professionals.
Committee members urge viewers to share and post this important public safety message as in advance of the May Long Weekend when so many drivers take to the road.
We wish to publicly thank the efforts of Kim Mitchell and Alert Management for their continued commitment by making this PSA message possible in an effort to help reduce injuries and save lives on our roadways, trails and waterways. -30- Media Contact Provincial Constable David Hobson 705-733-5440 david.hobson@opp.ca Twitter @OPP_CR KIM MITCHELL photo credit Brian Wallace
