Gathered around a library table at Penetang Secondary School (PSS) students from Beausoleil First Nation Tim, Conner, Eric and Anishinabek Police Service Cst.Hobson assemble their May long weekend drinking and texting awareness messaging project on LCBO bags. The project is part of the MTO Road Safety Challenge which Cst.Hobson has aligned with Police Week garnering support from young community members to help make our roads, waterways and trails safer for all users. The messaging will appear in the bags distributed over the May 2016 long weekend through the Lafontaine LCBO store and through retail, food, coffee shops along with social media sites on Christian Island and each student at PSS will also receive one with their report card.
