The Well Heeled Canine connects dog lovers in the Georgian Bay area.  We offer canine coaching for life, so that you and your dog develop a happy, healthy relationship based on positive, humane training techniques. We help you build a close, fun relationship with your new dog that will make you best friends for life. What makes us different is How We Work.

To start, we meet with you and your pet for an In-home introduction and to understand your training and behavior needs. Based on your goals we  design a custom coaching program, with milestones and graduation points. There is no "one size fits all" solution because every dog and every family is different..

Our "Learning Thru Play" method uses fun and games to achieve each owner's unique goals. Want your dog to enjoy off-leash trail walks? How about taking your best canine friend safely and comfortably for a canoe trip?  Learning each new skill makes your dog less stressed and more enjoyable at home and away.  Obedience training is part of the joy of pet ownership; not a burden. Learning through play with your dog is one of the best things about owning one. 

We have a special place in our hearts for coaching rescued dogs once they have found their forever home.  Rescues can be the most loving and well heeled dogs. Occasionally there are behavior issues that need to be addressed early and we can help coach you through this phase.

We also specialize in coaching canine "Action" skills and games training ( Disc, Fun-gility, "elite level" command training).
