Our Public Works department received a call from an aggressive salesperson, advising them that our Xerox agreement was coming to an end and to get a toner at a discounted price, they had to hurry up and place an order. They received the toner and then an invoice for $605.70 US. We also received a similar call at Townhall urging our receptionist to hurry up and place an order within 10 minutes to get the discounted price because our Xerox agreement was coming to an end. Our receptionist advised your caller that we have a support agreement with Xerox which includes free toners for all Xerox equipment. 1. These are misleading sales calls and we request that any accounts you have created for the Town of Penetanguishene ( and all facilities Townhall, Public Works, Museum, Library, Firehall, Arena and Sewage Treatment Plant) be cancelled. 2. We would like to know where you want the Toner returned. 3. We request that upon receipt of the Toner, you provide us with a Credit Invoice in the full amount of the above-mentioned invoice in the amount of $605.70 US. 4. Remove the Town of Penetanguishene and its facilities from your call list.
