Anders is reliable so you can expect your job to be completed thoroughly and beyond your best expectation. After submitting a site plan and a design for my deck Anders went above and beyond to battle with the Town of Innisfil to get an approval for my application for a work permit. His attention to detail called into question a mistake in one of their by-laws. A mistake which resulted in a delay in construction and months of frustration.
His work in all that he does is superlative. My expectations have been exceeded by the quality of work he produced.
Ground Up Design assisted us with the design of our raised bungalow, which is currently under construction. We had many boxes to check-off with regard to the configuration of the house and GUD accommodated them all - in a professional and timely manner. Excellent work and no glitches in obtaining the building permit. We found the price to be satisfactory, on par with the industry rate. I would not hesitate to recommend GUD to any of my contacts.

After my amputation, I had big dreams of a new home and new life. Old friends insisted that Ground Up Design was the way to go. Saying that the owner was honest, knowledgeable, had tons of experience at all levels of residential design and is now starting his own company. Due to having to live on disability income, financially, I saw my moderately sized home reduced considerably in size. Through all the revisions, the Ground Up team were unyielding and professional. They kept me up to date , worked with me, kept within my budget and surprisingly, knew what exactly I would need in the future. The owner even familiarized himself with my Municipality's specific compliances and requirements to ensure his designs were catered to their satisfaction. From Engineered Tech. drawings of my heated floor ( in which Anders, [the owner] fronted payment for me, with a young family and out of his own pocket, just to save me a long drive and dealing with it myself ) right up to the roof truss package and the last vent on my roof. All was considered and nothing was missed. I received my Building Permit from the Municipality within a week after applying, without a catch. I was so happy to have Ground Up Design on my side through all of this, that I advocate them to everybody I meet now that don't want the stress and are in need of a complete company who can handle it all. I can honestly say, that Anders has named his company appropriately because they really did cover everything from the Ground Up.
