I am seeking the Ontario PC Nomination for Simcoe North because I believe Simcoe North and this province needs a PC government.

Simcoe North has had a PC MPP for many years now, but the people of Simcoe North and the rest of the province have lived with the consequences of over 10 years of Liberal mismanagement.

Our Leader, Patrick Brown, has a great chance to lead the PC Party to victory and he will need a strong team with him at Queen’s Park. He will need MPPs with experience, with the fortitude to make tough decisions and a deep commitment to Ontario, to their communities and to public service. Winning the election will be hard work, but turning Ontario around will be even harder.

I look forward to this challenge and that is why I am seeking to be your nominee. Public service has been a passion of mine for decades.

Being elected twice (two 3 year terms) to Municipal Council, volunteering with dozens of community groups and local political campaigns have all been rewarding. My Federal appointment to the Trent Severn Waterway review and Provincial appointments to expert panels on home inspector regulation and business law reforms have given me a unique experience to make positive change. I also serve our community as a lawyer with a successful practice in Orillia, and this has allowed me to serve thousands of families across the region with their legal needs over the past 17 years.

All of these experiences have been positive and I have learned so much, met so many people, and deepened my love and respect for our communities.

My wife Jen and our two kids, Andrew and Jane, living in Severn, are excited about serving our communities in this new way, but we need your help.

First, you need to ensure you have an up-to-date membership in the Simcoe North Provincial PC Association. Memberships are just $10 and this gives you the ability to vote at the nomination meeting.

Second, we need your help signing up friends, family, colleagues and neighbours. Anyone 14 or older that lives in Simcoe North can be a member and vote at the nomination meeting on Saturday May 13, 2017.

Third, we need you to come to the nomination meeting and vote for me. The exact locations are not yet set, but there will be a location in Midland, Coldwater and Orillia. Don’t worry, we’ll give you plenty of notice! Most importantly, in the next election, I’ll need your help to ensure this riding remains PC and forms the base for the “blue wave” that will sweep across Ontario and propel Patrick Brown’s Ontario PC Party to victory.
