Great place. On our way to Midland from London, our engine light came on. Because the car's performance had been cutting out under demand, we suspected the transmission. When we arrived in Midland, we called one auto repair shop after another. All were too busy to even do a scan. Then we called Midland Powertrain. They, too, were busy, but they were willing to drop what they were doing and do a scan. Turns out the engine was simply misfiring and would need a tune-up. Not only did Midland Powertrain drop everything; they did the scan for free. Hats off to the folks at Midland Powertrain.

I want to give a shout out to Midland Powertrain. I called Friday morning at 9:30. Tyler said I could drop in anytime in the morning & he would take it for a free test drive to try to determine what the scratching & clunking might be on my left drivers side. I had an appt in Barrie but was afraid to drive there. They took my car in right away to work on it! Tyler then showed me all the parts that had a problem before they did anything. He also gave me a discount!!! I was very impressed with the service & work & definitely recommend them. When I drove away it felt like a new car! I was a happy lady

I CAN’T SAY ENOUGH about the home-town decent and honest treatment I received from Tyler at the Midland Powertrain Ltd. I had recently ended up on the side of the road with a transmission that gave up the ghost and after a call to the dealer, I learned that it was just 5 weeks out of warranty. The car was towed to Midland Powertrain who confirmed the problem and searched out a used tranny for me. Upon giving me an enormous (but realistic) quote, Tyler provided me with info about the issues he has seen with the CVT tranny and encouraged me to work with the dealership to get the cost covered. HE DID THIS KNOWING THAT IT WOULD TAKE THE BUSINESS AWAY FROM HIM. Armed with the info I needed, I successfully negotiated having the costs covered 100%. Tyler put his customer first, above his own gain. I can’t thank him enough. He saved me just over $4,000. After that, of course I would recommend his services, whole heartedly!!

I just recently had a new clutch purchased and installed from the guys at MIDLAND POWER TRAIN, and the service was great, fast, & friendly, and sensitive to my needs. I own and opperate a transmission shop in St Thomas Ontario. I recently had a customer of mine with some transmission troubles, on vacation in the Midland area. I made some calls to my supliers and found Jim's name to be the name of choice for transmission repairs in the Midland area. Jim was very profecional to deal with and took great care of my customer. As it turned out it was not a transmission problem but an unrelated cooling fan issue. My customer was very happy and that made me very happy. GREAT job Jim. Thanx again!!! Jamie
