We are pleased to be welcoming our two newest kids into the village program. A brother and sister, Mehdi & Mojdeh who both want to learn how to play the violin. We understand that they both excel in school so they will have no problem being able to stay interested in their studies which of course, is the only thing we ask of all the kids that come into village programs.

Geoff and I send a special thanks to Brian Jones of Jones Aluminum, who pulled the float and ensured that all the kids aboard were safe and secure and made sure everything went smooth, a very special thank you to Bob Marion and his son and Jesse James for all they did on the float to have it ready. It is our volunteers that enrich the lives of the village.

WE ARE THE VILLAGERS had a very successful Canada Day event. The winner of our gift basket donated by Kim's Boutique/Bright Ideas was D. Morrison. We wish to thank our 4 face painters who did a wonderful job and showed such enthusiasm from when they arrived until it was time to leave. A big thank you to our kids on the float and our volunteers that made it all come together.

It is important for people to know that when the program the kids are in take a break, that the kids can become part of another activity of their choice until they resume their most favoured activity. At WE ARE THE VILLAGERS we strive to keep kids interested in life and all it can offer in the hopes to bring joy to them and enhance their life experience.

The village received a cheque in the amount of $5,000 from a wonderful couple who wish to remain anonymous. Thank you. Your generosity will ensure that many children stay and/or get placed in programs of their choice. The joy that we see on their faces is priceless and so is your contribution.

We are placing an average of 4 children a week in programs at the moment. Become an active villager and give as much or as little as you can to make the lives of these children flourish.

Cashmere Blue, Kim's Boutique and Shoes to Boot raised just over $4,300 at Sunday afternoons fashion show. A sold out event enjoyed by all. Thank you ladies and all who participated. Your amazing.
