"Taking Root - The Vision of Wangari Matthai"
Taking Root tells the dramatic story of Kenyan Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Wangari Matthai whose simple act of planting trees grew into a nationwide movement to safeguard the environment, protect human rights, and defend democracy - a movement for which this charismatic woman became an iconic inspiration.

Films are shown at the Midland Public Library, Assembly Room. Room opens at 6:30pm, and we must be out by 8:45pm. There will be discussion, after the film, which will continue at Explorer's Cafe after 8:45pm for those who would like to keep talking!
Admission is by donation. Coffee, tea, and desserts will be provided. Please bring your own mug.
