Gord is one of four partners in the firm and is known for his skills in income taxation and as a client business adviser. He was born and raised in Thornhill, Ontario. He graduated from the Business School at the University of Western Ontario with an HBA in 1976 and moved to Vancouver to work with KPMG (formerly Peat Marwick). He obtained his CA in 1982 and was transferred to their Toronto office to work as a tax specialist. After three years in this position and completing the 3-year CICA in-depth income tax course, he moved to Midland in 1987. Randy is our senior partner and has been in accounting for more than 30 years.Randy grew up in Leaside in Toronto and received his secondary education at St. Michael’s College School. He obtained his C.A. in 1975 with the firm of Sheppard Cartledge Hammond & Tossell and in 1984, they merged with Clarke Henning & Co., a large Toronto-based firm. As one of 12 partners, Randy managed approximately 300 small to medium sized clients. He also represented Clarke Henning as a Board Member of I. A. Raised in Midland, Steve received his Honours BA from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University. He completed his apprenticeship at a small firm in Guelph then went on to work at Mintz & Partners in Toronto from 1997 to 2000 with his last year specializing in their tax department. He obtained his CA designation in January 1999 then began the two year CICA in-depth tax course, completing it in 2001. Steve has been the Treasurer of the Friends of the Wye Marsh since January 2002 and has also been a member of the Tiny-Penetang Bay Liaison Committee since January 2001. | Contact Steve for:

Joel was born and raised in Midland. After receiving his BAcc (Honours) from Brock University in 2005 and obtaining his CA designation with BDO Canada in Orillia, Joel joined the firm in December 2006. At BDO, Joel spent a significant amount of time in the assurance department and has since focused his time in both taxation and assurance. Joel is a part-time practice inspector with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, has served as the Treasurer of the Friends of the Wye Marsh and was also a one-to-one mediator for people with special needs throughout University and High School. | Contact Joel for:

Christine was born in Mississauga and came to Midland in 1975. After graduating from Midland Secondary School, she took the 2-year accounting diploma program at Georgian College in Barrie. Kelly was born and raised in the Elmvale-Wasaga Beach area. After graduating from High School, she took a 2-year computer programmer diploma program at Georgian College in Barrie. Tara was born and raised in Port Severn. After graduating from St. Theresa’s High School with honours, she majored in economics at York University. Tara returned to the area to raise her daughter. She joined a local accounting firm where she worked for ten years before joining our firm. Melissa Page, CA was raised in Oro-Medonte and graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor in Management and Organizational studies. From 2008 until joining Sedgwick Post & Hogg, Melissa worked at Ernst and Young, LLP auditing large public and private companies. Melissa has travelled around Australia for a year and spent five weeks in Europe. Now she is content to rollerblade and hike outdoors around home when she isn’t accounting. | Contact Melissa for:

Norie Ventura is now assisting us during peak busy times. Norie is self employed assisting business owners with their bookkeeping and accounting needs. When she is not assisting her clients and us, she is spending family time with her husband and three children and volunteering with local community organizations such as Community Living Huronia (Dreams to Reality Campaign), Tiny Trails Lions Club, and the Huronia Pregnancy Resource Centre. | Contact Norie for:

Barb was born and raised in Northern Ontario. She moved to the Midland area after coming back from spending two year working in an office in Nairobi, Kenya as a secretary. She joined the firm in October 2005 and is currently taking courses towards her CGA designation. | |

Catherine was our Office Administrator for several years and kept a close eye over our reception area. Catherine has lots of experience in accounting and general office administration as well as operating an income tax clinic for senior and low income earners before joining the firm in 1995. Her community involvement includes serving as trustee on the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board, volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul and Chair of the Georgian Manor Family Council. Catherine retired from the firm in May 2012 and re-joined in a part-time role. | |

Henrietta joined our firm in February 2012 as an Administrative assistant. After graduating high school, she pursued her education at Grande Prairie Regional College, completing the 2 year Business Administration program with a major in accounting. Prior to relocating to Ontario, Henrietta worked as the Accounts Receivable Administrator for a manufacturing/hydraulics company in Grande Prairie, Alberta. In 2004, Henrietta settled in the Midland area and commenced employment as a Customer Service Representative with a local financial institution where she stayed until her employment with SPH. Outside of work, Henrietta is a dedicated and loving mom to her two lovely young daughters with whom she spends all her time with. Occasionally she takes time to relax, visit with friends and read a great book. Henrietta hopes to do more travelling around the world as well as revisiting her homeland Slovakia in Europe. | |

Born and raised in Wyevale, Lindsay received her Bachelor of Mathematics in Statistics and then her Professional Degree in Education. She began her accounting career as a Financial Analyst for the Ministry of Forests in British Columbia then worked for three years at a local accounting firm before joining the team at Sedgwick Post & Hogg in 2012. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys sports, traveling and playing the piano. | |
