SCIPP SKATE ROCK N ROLL IS ONE OF SCIPP'S BIGGEST FUNDRAISERS AND WILL BE REPEATED YEAR AFTER YEAR. SCIPP SKATE ROCK AND ROLL IS AN EVENT THAT SCIPP HOSTS
EACH YEAR TO HELP GAIN FUNDS TOWARDS NEWER UPGRADES IN BOTH MIDLAND AND PENETANGUSINES PARKS, TO START. FUNDS WILL BE PUT ASIDE FOR OUR DREAM TO SKATE WITHIN 4
WALLS AND A ROOF " THROUGHOUT THE WINTER MONTHS". THIS EVENT ALSO CONSISTS ON PROMOTING BOTH, COMPETING SKATEBOARDERS AND IS FOCUSED ON PUTTING A
GOOD NAME ON SKATEBOARDING. SCIPP WORKS WITH EVERY SKATER FROM BEGINNER TO INTERMIDIANT OR ADVANCED. SOME OF OUR COMMITTEE AND CORE SKATERS WILL BE GETTING
CERTIFIED LICENSES THIS UPCOMING MAY, SO OUR LESSONS THIS SUMMER WILL BE MADE UP IN YOUR SKILL DIVISION AS WELL AS ON CALENDAR. CLASSES SHOULD START AT THE END OF THIS MAY.
SCIPP IS WORKING WITH ALL LOCAL KIDS TO HELP FUNDRAISE FOR THIS NEVER ENDING DREAM OF A GOOD SKATEBOARD PARK. LOOK FOWARD TO COMING DOWN AND WATCHING

*These photos were taking after two of our SCIPP committee members John Lidstone & Kirk Ruston decided to design and build this quarter pipe,
which is light enough to be picked up and move. This is one of our very first mobile ramps. Other mobile obstacles will be added later this summer
and will be brought to our events and demos for skateboarders to use. John and Kirk will be working on a calendar of days, where the ramp will be
down at either Penetangusihene or Midland's park for skaters to use. To know the dates check back with more SCIPP updates later - Just click on
News & Events to find out. This ramp will also be down at the Midland Park, when SCIPP does Lessons.

*This ramp will be showcased all weekend at the Midland Arena Supporting SCIPP. This SCIPP SHOW will have educational information on the
parks updates. There will be magazines, brochures, contact information, SCIPP army member information. The SCIPP video will be play for 3 hrs
of our 5hr show on Friday April 20 / 07, 4pm-9pm. Scott and Steve from SCIPP will be there to guide you along on Friday with New Updates from the
website or to our ideas on this dream project. John and Steve will be there with the same package and more information on Saturday 21 / 07 starting
from 9am until 6pm. Kirk, Amy and Steve will be there Sunday April 22 / 07 starting from 10am until 4pm talking to kids and adults about what SCIPP is all about. This team will be supporting SCIPP on these 3 days at the Midland Rec Centre, check it out!

On behalf of the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) membership and board of directors, it is my
pleasure to inform you that your surf industry peers have selected your company or product as a finalist for a
2007 SIMA Image Award in the category of:

FINALIST: MADA
MEN’S APPAREL BRAND OF THE YEAR
Awarded to the men’s apparel brand that featured the most exciting designs, increased its brand appeal, and grew its business in 2006.

FINALIST: MADA
BREAKTHROUGH BRAND OF THE YEAR
Recognizing the small- to mid-size men’s or women’s brand that experienced growth in 2006. Consider surfboard,apparel, footwear, wetsuit and accessory brands that had a
breakthrough year through product development and/or increased brand recognition and appeal. Nominated companies can be new or established brands, but must have gross
global wholesale annual revenues of $25 million or less.

Introduced in 2003, the goal of the SIMA Image Awards is to identify the surf industry's most influential companies and recognize them for their efforts to advance and grow the industry
over the past year. All paid SIMA members were eligible to submit nominations – either a self-nomination or a peer-nomination. All nominations were then reviewed by an industry panel
of experts including manufacturers and retailers. The finalists in 12 categories were determined by a vote from this industry panel of experts. All paid SIMA member companies will now soon
vote on the finalists to determine the winners. For for detailed information on the voting process, visit www.sima.com.

The five finalists and winners will be recognized in the 12 award categories during a ceremony at SIMA Surf Summit 10. The 12 categories are: Accessory Product of the Year, Footwear Product
of the Year, Surfboard Model of the Year, Wetsuit of the Year, Men’s Ad Campaign of the Year, Men’s Apparel Brand of the Year, Men’s Boardshort of the Year, Women’s Ad Campaign of the
Year, Women’s Apparel Brand of the Year, Women’s Swim Brand of the Year, Breakthrough Brand of the Year and Company of the Year.

SCIPP Brandon Gallant from Midland has sent an email message in on Nov 13^th,06 to SCIPP.org suggesting in high demand that the Midland skateboard park is just not good enough. He is a 12 year old skateboarder, who is just beginning and has already grown for new change.

IM ONLY 12 AND AND I SUCK AT IT BUT ITS BETTER THAN A HALF A PIPE.SO GIVE US A PARK THAT WE CAN ACTULLY SKATE ON.

Kirk Ruston vice president, also video editor of the first SCIPP and SCIPParmy skateboard video project, has put hours of his own time to give you the viewer's, a skateboard presentation to watch online and enjoy. The video includes a breif history of skateboarding and local skateboarder's showcasing multi skills with short interviews on their outlook of the area's outdoor parks. -voice animated by Kirk Ruston. Amy Ruston president, also treasurer of SCIPP.org and SCIPParmy has her hands full with her new love of her life, her 3 month year old baby Kylie Ruston. Managing time to make it to the meetings and help fundraise from events to keep our project alive it's very much needed and appreciated.

Tayna Snell works hard on the public relations part. She is working with the town for the support on this project, to bring new SCIPP events to the table. She works long and hard hours to make sure that all the marketing is met with the eye of our public at youth meetings, SCIPP events such as "SCIPP's game of Skate" "SCIPP Sk8 RockNRoll and others. She is our spokes that keep the wheel spinning in this project as she is the voice for SCIPP at all of our events, our press releases, our media launches and in most of our newsletters. She is also expecting a new born baby in the month of November.

John Lidstone is working hard on army.scipp .org with new updates to give the viewer's and the suppporter's a chance at some really good grabs. New discounts are added to the benefits list each day as you receive your SCIPParmy ID card. He has also worked on monthly prizing from some of the sponsors and to top off your account he will send you personal newsletters through email.
