OUR HEALTH: LIVE AND HEAL WITH HOSPICE
Join us on Thursday, September 13 at 7:30 PM (doors open at 7) as we shine the light on the many dimensions of hospice care. “Our Health” has teamed up with Hospice Huronia to plan the first program of the 18/19 “Our Health” series, “Live and Heal with Hospice”. Hospice services are volunteer organizations across the country, designed to provide care and emotional support for advanced illnesses, death, and bereavement.
Our keynote discussant, Kathy Kortes-Miller, has been teaching and researching at Lakehead University for over a decade, inspiring and challenging future healthcare providers to care for individuals who are dying and their families. We also have three local champions on our panel, Mona Desroches, Anne Murphy, and Carol Holmes who will help us understand the many different components of hospice care including visiting volunteers, respite care for family caregivers, residential care, and bereavement support.
Admission is free with registration in advance online or at the MCC Box Office . Register early to avoid disappointment.
