WHAT'S ON AT THE MCC - JUNE
 Carla here from the MCC! Carla here from the MCC! Your summer just got a whole lot hotter with our Sizzling Summer Concert Series. We have an amazing variety of shows this series, with something for everyone. Don’t miss out! Our Sizzling Summer Concert Series is sponsored by Bay Port Yachting Centre, Wye Heritage Marina and Beacon Bay Marina.
First up, on June 10th, legendary guitarist ALBERT LEE takes the stage. Albert Lee is one of the most respected and renowned guitarists in music history, having worked with The Everly Brothers, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris and The Cricketts over his long and illustrious career. Don’t miss this incredible musician!
On July 15th we have GREASE - A Tribute to the Music. This show features a superb cast and a repertoire that covers some of the greatest songs of the 50s and 60s. Re-live the days of soda pop and drive-ins, poodle skirts, greased back hair, winged Cadillac’s, those hazy summer days, and of course….the music!
PRETZEL LOGIC: A TRIBUTE TO STEELY DAN is up next on July 20th. Pretzel Logic is a ten-piece band whose dedicated members play with a passion the music of Steely Dan, whose legendary hits include: “Reelin’ in the Years”, “Josie”, and “Peg”.
Back by popular demand we have THE DRIFTERS FEATURING RICK SHEPPARD on August 4th. You know the songs, "Under The Boardwalk," "Save The Last Dance For Me, “This Magic Moment," "There Goes My Baby," and many more. They are etched into the memories of music fans worldwide and helped form part of the foundation of contemporary popular music.
On August 10th the legendary ANDY KIM performs at the MCC. Over his epic career, Andy has sold over 30 million records, with hits like “Rock Me Gently” and “’Sugar Sugar”. He is a Canadian Music Hall of Fame Inductee, multi Juno award winner, and has had over 10 billboard top 40 charting hits. This is one act you are not going to want to miss!
LIGHTHOUSE will close out our Sizzling Summer Concert Series on August 17th. Lighthouse burst on the scene in 1969, with an explosive sound that defied all conventions. Between 1970 and 1973 they were awarded four Junos, four gold albums and Canada’s first platinum album for Lighthouse Live! While hits such as One Fine Morning, Sunny Days, Hats Off to the Stranger, 1849 and Pretty Lady raced to the top of Canadian and International charts.
