THIS WEEKEND AT THE MCC!
This WEEKEND at the MCC we have Two Fantastic Concerts.
Canadian alternative country singer-songwriter FRED EAGLESMITH will perform at the MCC on May 5th. Fred Eaglesmith has toured all over the United States, Canada, and Europe and has had his songs covered by some of the biggest names in music. He is known for writing songs about vehicles, rural life, down-and-out characters, lost love and quirky rural folk.
Fred is a veteran of the music industry and at the same time is about as far away from actually participating in today’s music industry as one could be. Never operating within anyone’s boundaries, he continues to set the standard for independent artists everywhere.
HARRY MANX returns to the MCC on May 6th. Harry Manx has been one of the most successful international touring musicians to hail from Canada. This deeply original multi-instrumentalist has entertained audiences for the past 30 years in over 40 countries around the globe. Harry plays the slide guitar, harmonica, six-string banjo, mohan veena and Ellis stomp box that creates his unique sound that is a blend of blues, folk music and Hindustani classical music.
Harry has released twelve albums in twelve years, and has his own record label Dog My Cats Records. He has also received much recognition and many awards over the years, including: seven Maple Blues Awards, six Juno nominations, the Canadian Folk Music Award in 2005 for Best Solo Artist, and CBC Radio’s “Great Canadian Blues Award” in 2007.
Don’t miss Harry Manx!
