WHAT'S ON AT THE MCC - MAY
 Carla here from the MCC! What an exciting month we have coming up! We have 2 SOLD OUT shows in May, Our Health: Medical Cannabis and A Day In The Life with Peter Mansbridge. If you were unable to get tickets to these shows you can catch them a few weeks following the show on Roger TV.
Canadian alternative country singer-songwriter FRED EAGLESMITH will perform at the MCC on May 5th. Fred Eaglesmith has toured all over the United States, Canada, and Europe and has had his songs covered by some of the biggest names in music. He is known for writing songs about vehicles, rural life, down-and-out characters, lost love and quirky rural folk. Get your tickets today!
HARRY MANX returns to the MCC on May 6th. Harry Manx has been one of the most successful international touring musicians to hail from Canada. This deeply original multi-instrumentalist has entertained audiences for the past 30 years in over 40 countries around the globe.
This Mother’s Day, the award-winning comedy troupe GOOD MORNING APOCALYPSE will be returning to the MCC for a high tea and comedy show. THE MOM SHOW is a celebration of motherhood in all its forms, from frazzled moms of toddlers to empty nesters with adult children, from perfect moms who can do it all to those hanging on to sanity by their fingernails. From the last two moms surviving the zombie apocalypse with babies in tow, to Ringo Starr’s mother giving the last little nudge of inspiration to “All You Need Is Love,” to chain restaurant “Nonnas,” where each meal comes with your very own Italian mother, this show has something for mothers in all shapes and sizes.
Our 3rd Annual UKE FEST will take place May 18th, 19th & 20th. This 3 day festival allows ukulele players of all ages to participate in workshops, jam sessions, concerts and all things ukulele-based. On May 26th take a magical trip down memory lane as John Stinson Productions presents CLASSIC LIGHTFOOT LIVE: A GORDON LIGHTFOOT TRIBUTE. John Stinson has spent the past decade recreating his favourite Lightfoot music in a tribute show. It features dozens of timeless songs from his extensive catalogue. "Lightfoot's music reflects what it means to be Canadian. His lyrics tell stories; his stories, our stories, Canadian stories. They reach out and touch audiences in deep emotional ways.” The show features a wonderful ensemble that brings the studio recordings to life. Stinson, on lead vocals and guitar, is backed by the impressive musical talents of Steve Eyers on bass guitar (Lightfoot's nephew), Eric Kidd on lead guitar (former student of Red Shea), and JG Jones on keyboards. Each of them has been highly influenced by Lightfoot's music and the passion comes through in every performance!
