CORRECTION - WHAT'S ON AT THE MCC - DECEMBER

CORRECTION – Please note A Day In The Life with Santa Claus will take place on Saturday, December 2nd at 10:30am.

Carla here from the MCC! We have lots of fantastic holiday shows coming up for you in December. Get into the holiday spirit and take your family, friends or even your staff out for a great time at the MCC.  There’s definitely something for everyone.

On December 2nd the MCC welcomes back fan favourite MICAH BARNES AND HIS JAZZ TRIO.  This is one show you are not going to want to miss!  Check out what the critics have been saying about Micah.

"Nicely bridges the gap between Cole Porter and Elvis Costello"
- The Globe and Mail

"Micah Barnes eludes all the musical cliches. His lyrics, often dryly comic, are a product of his quick intelligience, a mischevious sense of humour, and a bubbling show biz savvy."
- The Globe and Mail
"Following his time with the a cappella act The Nylons, Micah Barnes has found his own voice, that of a highly personal singer/songwriter with a strong jazz sensibility."
- Montreal Mirror

Back by popular demand, A DAY IN THE LIFE WITH SANTA CLAUS returns on December 2nd.  Santa pays an early visit to sit down with host Fred Hacker and discuss his preparations for his "big day”. This intimate conversation will explore life at the North Pole, the roles of Santa, the reindeer, the elves and Mrs. Claus, and the big job of getting gifts to all the good boys and girls all around the world. After Santa and Fred have their chat, the kids will have a chance to speak with Santa and to tell him about their Christmas wishes. And, as an additional treat this year, there will be arts and crafts for the kids (provided by Quest Art School + Gallery) and some holiday goodies (provided by Chef Glen at Café Roxy). And, best of all, it’s free! Thanks to the Midland Rotary Club for their sponsorship of the MCC’s children’s programming, there will be no charge for the kids or their parents with registration

Hot off their win at the Culture Midland Awards for Emerging Talent, Good Morning Apocalypse presents their brand-new adult-themed Christmas comedy revue COAL PATROL.
Leave the little ones at home with visions of sugarplums dancing in their head, because there’s stuff in this show that will put anyone in the Naughty List. From a Batman hellbent on stopping kids from singing “Jingle Bells, Batman Smells,” to the moment that Rudolph finally snaps from all the insults and abuse, to the production problems at the Red Ryder BB Gun Factory, every character in this comedy revue is poised to get a lump of the black stuff in their stocking this holiday. Forget Red and Green.. This Christmas, we’re getting Back in Black!
Not only will we provide you with laughs but also a delicious buffet dinner provided by Cafe Roxy.  With 2 dates to choose from this is too good to miss. Get your tickets today for the November 24th or December 7th performances.

On December 14th join host Fred Hacker for A DAY IN THE LIFE WITH FATHER MICHAEL KNOX. Fr. Michael L Knox, SJ is a Roman Catholic priest in the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). He has been the Director of Martyrs’ Shrine, and Superior of the Jesuit Community, in Midland since February 2016. Over the 21 years of his religious formation, Fr. Michael has also been involved in pastoral care to youth, event management, high school education, spiritual accompaniment, seminary formation, television, preservation, lecturing in history and Jesuit spirituality, writing, administration, and Sacramental ministry. Jean de Brébeuf and his companions have always held a central place in his religious life and, over the years, he has maintained a consistent presence in Huronia, working as an instructor in Jesuit history for the interpretive staff at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, serving as a longstanding member of the Board of Trustees, and as an advisor to the Provincial Superior of the Jesuits in English Canada.

A BLUS BROS. CHRISTMAS will rock the MCC on December 15th with their high energy performance and 7 piece band.  These boys will be sure to get your toes tapping and you up out of your seat.  Accompanied by soul singer Mr. Shane Philips you'll hear Swing, Soul, Rn'B, and first generation Rn'R.  This is going to be one fantastic show!

Also in December, we have:
