Suzie Vinnick will be hosting a blues guitar workshop for beginning and intermediate guitarists. All ages are invited to attend and attendees are encouraged to bring their acoustic guitars (acoustic preferred; electric is okay, but you'll need to bring a small amp). SPACE IS LIMITED TO 10 PARTICIPANTS.Using a few classic blues tunes Suzie will work with the workshop attendees on some basics of blues guitar – different blues song structures and grooves, the blues scale and how to use the blues scale to take a solo. We’ll work on your strumming to help you rhythmically drive your blues song and keep your blues song interesting by incorporating guitar licks and turnarounds as well. We’ll do some jamming to help cement your new guitar skills and you will come away with a few new tools for your blues guitar playing toolbox!

Suzie Vinnick is a 10x Maple Blues Award winner, 3x Juno Nominee, and was a Finalist in the 2013 International Blues Challenge Solo/Duo Category in Memphis, TN. She was also the winner of the 2012 CBC Saturday Night Blues Great Canadian Blues Award and the 2012 SIRIUS/XM Blues Artist of the Year has released a new album entitled Live At Bluesville, a collection of roots, blues and gospel tunes featuring Suzie and her parlour guitar, Mabel.
