In her Mandate Letter from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in 2015, the Prime Minister told her “No relationship is more important to me and to Canada than the one with Indigenous Peoples.” She was told that “As Minister …. your overarching goal will be to renew the relationship between Canada and Indigenous Peoples.”Canada’s Indigenous Peoples are the founding people in Canada. They play a significant and important part in our local communities. And, sadly, we know too little about their history, their culture, their goals, and their challenges.Join host Fred Hacker next Tuesday, August 8th at 7:30 pm when his guest on A Day in the Life will be Dr. Carolyn Bennett.
