As a regular attendee and fan of the A Day in the Life series here at the Midland Cultural Centre, you know that some of our past shows have been completely sold out.  Our next two guests Paul Beeston, President of the Toronto Blue Jays on March 10 and Wm. Paul Young, author of the international bestselling book The Shack on March 16 are proving to be very popular at the box office to date!

On March 10, join us when Fred Hacker sits down in intimate conversation with Paul Beeston, the high-spirited, cigar chomping, legendary President of the Toronto Blue Jays.  Paul was the Blue Jays’ first employee in 1976, before they owned a player.  He became President and CEO in 1991 – overseeing the Jays’ two World Series-winning teams.  In 1997, Paul became the President and CEO of Major League Baseball.  In 2009, he was re-appointed as president of the Toronto Blue Jays and now is in charge of day-to-day operations of the baseball club and Rogers Centre.  He was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2002 and Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2006 and is a member of the Order of Canada.
