Join host Fred Hacker as he welcomes John Honderich as his next guest in our "A Day In The Life" series.
Starting out as an office boy and night reporter, he joined the Toronto Star as a reporter and went on to become Publisher of the Toronto Star and Chairman of the Board of Torstar Corporation, the parent company of numerous newspapers including the Toronto Star and the local Midland Mirror. The conversation will include discussions about John's remarkable career in the newspaper industry, the challenges facing the print media, the expansion of online journalism, the future role of local market newspapers and what we should expect in news reporting in the coming years.

Dominic Desautels, who began studying clarinet at the age of 15 and made his debut as a soloist at the age of 21 with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, among the youngest musicians ever to be engaged by the ensemble. A musician endowed with great sensitivity and flexibility, he has shown himself to be a remarkable improviser performing within various music ensembles. He performs around the world as a chamber musician, recitalist, and soloist with orchestras, as well as on radio and television.
Pianist Tina Chong has established herself as an up-and-coming young artist in North America. Having made her orchestral debut at the age of nine, Tina Chong went on to appear as a guest soloist numerous times with orchestras throughout the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. Tina Chong’s recital career has brought her to such world-class venues as the Sala Chopin in Mexico City, the Sheldon Center in St. Louis, the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, and most recently, the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.
