Join us Saturday, February 16th, 2013 as we kick off our Comedy Series with "The Funny Greek", Angelo Tsarouchas. Also appearing Ottawa, ON native Andrew Chapman and emcee for the evening: Frank Spadone. Enjoy a fabulous pre-show dinner prepared by MCC Executive Chef Ivars Rasa.
Angelo Tsarouchas is a Canadian comedian/actor based in Los Angeles. He has taken part in every major Comedy Festival around the globe and has toured as a special guest of fellow Canadian funny man Russell Peters. Angelo starred in the film, Fred and Vinnie as Vinnie DAngelo, the world's fattest vegetarian. His acting credits also include appearances in The Score, John Q, The Recruit, The Prince and Me, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle and Cinderella Man.

Starting out as an office boy and night reporter, he joined the Toronto Star as a reporter and went on to become Publisher of the Toronto Star and Chairman of the Board of Torstar Corporation, the parent company of numerous newspapers including the Toronto Star and the local Midland Mirror.
The conversation will include discussions about John's remarkable career in the newspaper industry, the challenges facing the print media, the expansion of online journalism, the future role of local market newspapers and what we should expect in news reporting in the coming years.
