Babysitter’s Certification Course
This Canadian Red Cross Babysitter’s Certification course contains brand new content for 2017. Recommended for youth ages 11 to 16 years of age.
This course teaches potential babysitters or siblings the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for infants and children up to the age of 10, as well as to manage a babysitting business and effectively talk with parents during an interview, and throughout their role as babysitter.
Using interactive activities, dolls, and hands-on techniques, they will be able to care for others from feeding, diaper care, baby care, how to care for kids of all ages and what to do at bedtime. What to do in case of an emergency, how to manage behaviours, and developmental milestones are all discussed.
First Aid & CPR content has been expanded and gives youth the confidence to respond to life-threatening emergencies such as allergic reactions, poisoning, choking, as well as cuts, scrapes and head injuries.
Our course at First For Safety is taught by an experienced and certified educator as well as a Canadian Red Cross certified instructor.
Cost: $50 +HST Includes Babysitting Manual, Booklet, Wall Certificate and Wallet Card.
