MIDLAND’S ONLY TRADITIONAL PUB! |
Live Music - Friday July 25th! Featuring: Blind Mary! Never a Cover! Every Tuesday is WING NIGHT – ½ Price Wings! 12 Draft on Tap! About us: Just a short walk up Midland's main street, down a quaint and winding pathway, is a restaurant named (quite appropriately) after the Cellarman, who in British Public houses of yesteryear, was known as the Keeper of Fine Draught. Voices raised in laughter, the soft, soothing tones of ongoing conversations and the clink, clink of glasses brimming over, with dozens of different ales, greet visitors to Cellarman's. Friendly, inviting and affordable is how this establishment is perceived, by both regular patrons and those simply stopping by for an ale and a "quick bite" to eat. Cellarman's has 12 Draughts on tap from as far away as Ireland and Scotland, complemented by Canadian Micro brews. The evening we dined at Cellarman's, we began our meal with escargot and potato skins - tasty and filling appetizers that more than satisfied two "very hungry" diners. Our six escargot, sautéed in red wine and garlic butter, were served with fresh bread and grated cheddar, while our crispy potato skins, filled with real bacon bits, sour cream and melted cheese, proved absolutely yummy! We chose an authentic British steak, mushroom pie and Jambalaya, an Old South favourite, for our entrees. Our steak was smothered in a thick, tasty gravy with barley and carrots and topped with a light, flaky puff pastry. Exceptional! Spicy chicken, tender and juicy ham and sautéed veggies served over rice, comprised a truly wonderful rendition on Cellarman's Jambalaya. Visit and enjoy! Current Draft Selections: Guinness, Harp, Smithwicks, Kilkenny, Strongbow, Stella Artois, Keiths, Keiths Red, Hockley Valley Dark, Bud Light, Georgian Bay Dipper *NEW*
