KING STREET REJUVENATION: STARTING SEPT 16TH, 2019 (PARTIAL WORK)
Partial work for the King Street Rejuvenation project Downtown Midland will begin on September 16th, 2019!
Signs will be put out on September 9th. The project will take approximately 8 weeks leading into mid November of 2019. King Street will be closed from north of Bayshore Drive to Bay Street. Sections of Bay Street, both east and west of King Street, will also be closed (West from King Street to Borgeois Lane & East from King Street to the opening of the 526 Bay Street Parking Lot entrance). Full Bayshore Lane intersection work is expected to be closed for 3 weeks approximately and will then re-open for traffic flow. Working hours will be 7am to 7pm (10pm dependent on work) from Monday to Friday (Saturdays dependent on work). Sidewalks will also be accessible during the project for front business access. The 526 Bay Street & 509 Bay Street parking lots will remain open.

The full project will begin in Spring 2020 with substantial work to be completed by November 30th, 2020. Full completion of the project is set for May 31st, 2021. During the duration of the project, all of King Street will be closed in the downtown area, while Hugel Avenue will remain open for traffic flow. Back entrances to all of your favourite businesses will be accessible during the project using the laneways (Borsa & Bourgeois).
