Hello Business Owners,

The BIA is looking to continue it’s Shop Local Giveaway for the 3^rd quarter this year (July 1^st to September 30th) and we’re looking for businesses to participate in the BIA area. In order to participate each business will need to do a $100 buy in. We’d like to get as many businesses as possible to do a massive giveaway. With our first giveaway we had 15 stores participate and 4 sponsors. We raised $1,700 last quarter ($1,000 spent on giveaway prize and $700 spent on advertising).

All proceeds will go directly to the giveaway prizes and towards advertising (No cash will be kept for the BIA). Attached is our poster from the 2^nd quarter where participating business logos are all at the bottom. Snap Midland/Penetang and 104.1 the Dock will also be sponsoring the giveaway providing advertising assistance.

In order for people to enter they can shop at any participating business and will be able to fill out a ballot after each $10 minimum purchase in each participating store. The giveaway will run for the entire quarter from July 1^st to September 30^th and if it’s a success we’d like to continue to run the giveaway for the 4^th quarter and continuing on. The winner will receive Downtown Dollars that can only be spent at participating stores.

This Shop Local Giveaway has proven to draw people down to participating stores and keep customers happy, making them want to come back and shop again for being rewarded. We’re working away at totaling up the ballots, but we’ve already counted thousands spent at the participating stores.
