One of the largest peripherals used for our consoles are headsets. Communication amongst our friends on-line in the next iteration of Call of Duty, or just talking in a party while we race through the streets of Los Santos. Head sets are a large addition to how we game today.

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 come packaged with an ear bud like mic, but lets be honest...those aren't the next step of sound quality and communication we want as gamers. They allow everyone to be able to communicate but the static chatter and inter mitten communication can be frustrating to say the least.

Luckily though for us gamers there are other alternatives out there. I recently went hands on with the Steel Series Siberia X300 headset for Xbox One and PC, and I was very excited to discover the quality and clarity of the Siberia X300 and it's one of the best headsets I have had the pleasure of reviewing. The Siberia X300 is built tough but with comfort at the fore front. Most times we like to sit down and play a game for an hour or two and sometimes more if we can, so finding something that is comfortable is a must. With memory foam pads for your ears and an elastic head strap the SX300 made my gaming time one of the most comfortable experiences possible. After hours
of gaming I often will feel the weight of the headset and it may be too tight. But the SX300 are light weight and form to my ears, not pushing on the sides of my head and pinching or getting to heavy.

It's great that the SX300 is one of the most comfortable headsets, but how do they sound?

I found that the sound was slightly above average when compared to most other headsets of this price, going for $129 at retail. The 50mm speakers are good, clean sound and very clear when talking among my party of on-line teammates. With no humming or a tin like sound effect you find in lesser quality headsets. The retractable mic is great for the occasion of playing a game when you want to hear the intense gameplay without worrying about an intrusive mic in the way.

The Steel Series Siberia X300 is a great step up from the out-of-the-box headset that comes packaged with the Xbox One. Affordable and reliable with memory foam, retractable mic and easily accessible volume controls
that attaches to the Xbox controller. I really enjoyed using the Siberia X300 for it's great light weight comfort and good sound quality. This is a headset that anyone should look towards buying when they want to enhance
their gaming experience.

One moment please...
Taking too long?
