The Last Of Us is easily one of the best games of last generation!

So why play The Last Of Us Remastered? New features and add-ons are just a slice of what's new with The Last Of Us Remastered. The story is the same, you play the role of Joel, a man with a heart breaking past on an emotional journey to help a young woman get to her final destination. The two will travel across deserted city streets to find a cure for the infected. These city streets that were once inhabited by thousands are now in disarray as mother-nature takes control of these city ruins with the infected lurking about. If you have yet to play The Last Of Us, it is easily one of the best games of last generation in new form with better visuals and extra content.

Naughty Dog has enhanced the gameplay of Remastered with higher graphical resolution now being 1080p at 60fps. The textural detail of the environment and the astonishing detail with Joel, Ellie and other characters are incredible. TLOU was a graphical feat on the PlayStation 3 and could even compete with some of the latest next-gen games, but now, it’s a graphics lover’s heaven. Higher resolution wasn’t the only thing to be added with TLOU Remastered. They left behind single player DLC. New multiplayer maps have been added as well as a Photo Mode, taken from a slice of Sucker Punch’s very own update for Infamous Second Son. The Photo Mode will allow the player to pause the game and adjust everything from the draw distance to the camera angle and even a few borders. All of these additions are great and well worth the purchase and replay ability of the single player story, however, one of the most under-rated features of TLOU, is the multiplayer. The multiplayer component of TLOU is so good, I dare someone to say otherwise. TLOU takes a different approach to most multiplayer games and slows down what is mostly a fast paced genre and in fumes team work. Run, or stagger away on your own and you can find yourself in some unforgiving situations and there for, giving your team a huge disadvantage. The new multiplayer maps help give more variety when playing on-line, with more on the way it will only help keep the game alive and well into the PlayStation 4’s lifecycle. Naughty Dog I hope will offer free maps and allow us to purchase other items, such as, clothing, new weapons (though not a pay-to-win weapon) and other items. Give us a map pack that we need to purchase and that may split the player base and often have people leaving that game altogether.

Matchmaking is currently a problem. Long load times and player matching need to be improved greatly. At a lower level early on, I found myself facing a much higher rated player. Someone at level 2 should not be facing a player at level 30. Levels are earned by playing weeks, 7 matches earn you a week and will upgrade you to the next level. So for a level 2 player to go up against a level 30 player, they had played a lot more and were able to upgrade their loadouts, weapons etc. which didn’t end well for myself nor my team.

The Last Of Us Remastered should be in every PlayStation 4 owners library. With great visuals, tons of extra content, Left Behind DLC, Photo Mode, and the outstanding multiplayer, gamers cannot go wrong with The Last Of Us Remastered!
