With cheers and excitement in the air after Microsoft's E3 press conference, it was now up to Sony to showcase the future of PlayStation.

Last years PlayStation press conference had a few jabs go out to Microsoft throughout the night, but Sony was not holding back this year either as Destiny started the evening off followed by Andrew House as he revealed the exclusive beta coming to PlayStation 4 this July 17th.

New games were a big presence for Sony, some coming this year while other’s being revealed with future release dates. The Order 1886 revealed new gameplay, giving us a glimpse into a time where London and Werewolves creep through the land...this was creepy gameplay trailer that sent chills down my spine. Entwined, a new and colorful game with a mix of Journey and Brothers, in which you control the likes of two characters at the same time via the analog sticks, each designated to their own stick. Entwined is out now for $9.99.

Scott Rohde revealed "First Light" the new DLC for Infamous Second Son from Sucker Punch, one of the exciting things of First Light is that this special piece of DLC will not require you to own Infamous Second Son, this will be a stand alone DLC for the fans coming this August. FARCRY 4 was also showcased at Sony's event, revealing a stunning gameplay trailer with Ajay running and gliding through Kyrat. Bloodborne from From Software and a familiar face made his way back in to center stage, Sackboy in Little Big Planet 3.

Sony went through great lengths to mention all of the exclusive content and games coming to PlayStation, Dead Island 2 getting a 30 day beta, Battlefield Hardline Beta, Destiny will launch with weapons, gear, multiplayer map and more and one that I never thought would see the light of day, Grim Fandango! Over 20 games were showcased during Sony's event and that doesn't even touch the indie's showcased. The line of indie's and Triple A titles are getting harder to distinguish. ABZU and Hello Games No Man's Sky look breathtaking, letting us know that teams of all sizes can make great and amazing games for us to enjoy.

Games weren't the only things Sony was discussing, Project Morpheus, Youtube, PlayStation's TV series Powers (free for PS Plus members) interactions with Twitch and UStream streamers and a vast amount of stats were also revealed before heading into PlayStation Now which opens its beta this July 17th on PS4 in the US and Canada. More then100 games will be available with a future release on PS3, Vita and select Sony TV's.

My disappointment came when not much was mentioned for the dying PlayStation Vita. Hardly 5 minutes was spent talking about the system, remote play, a handful of games, Tales of Heart R, Child of Light, Tales from the Borderlands, Minecraft and a mention of past titles like Assassin's Creed and Uncharted. Where was Sony Bend? What are they working on? Maybe we'll learn more at Gamescom, but although there are games coming, there still doesn't seem to have that one big system seller, that one big game that the Vita needs. It was a soft mention with a quick sweep under the rug to say they had talked about the PlayStation Vita.

Sony ended things with style, The Last Of Us Remastered coming July 29th, Mortal Kombat X gameplay reveal, Metal Gear Solid V Trailer, GTA V coming to next-gen with PS3 and Xbox 360’s GTA On-line saves carrying over. Some Batman Arkham Knight Batmobile gameplay as Batman seamlessly hopped in and out of the Batmobile. To finish off the night Sony teased us with one of their biggest franchises they have, Uncharted 4 A Thief's End.

Sony's night was longer then usual and full with games and much more. All-in-all, Sony's conference had good games, the usual stats and new tech to carry them through the night. Sony has big plans and the future of gamers in mind when it comes to the future of PlayStation, we are truly benefiting from Sony as they are listening to not only developers, but to us, the gamers as well. Let us know your thoughts on the Sony press conference.

One moment please...
Taking too long?
