Once again Microsoft has listened to what gamers want. A Kinectless Xbox One!
Today Microsoft have announced that on June 9th the same day that Microsoft will host their big E3 press conference, the Xbox One will be available for purchase without a Kinect for $399. Stating they have heard the fans and not all gamers want to use the Kinect and would prefer to use only the controller. Those who purchase the Xbox One without a Kinect inside will still be able to purchase a Kinect at a later date. Also, they will still have access to YouTube, Netflix, watch live TV and use OneGuide as well as enjoy Twitch broadcasts and upload your favorite gaming moments. Basically, no yelling at your TV to command something, everything else stay's the same.
Games with Gold will be coming to the Xbox One and those with an Xbox 360 will be getting an extra free game for the month of June. Xbox 360 owners will get: Dark Souls, Charlie Murder and the bonus game, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. Now for Xbox One owners, for June Games with Gold will be: Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault. Take note that a single Gold membership will get you access to all the games for the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Lastly, Microsoft has now changed their terms with Xbox Live Gold Members being the only ones to have access to entertainment apps. Now if you own an Xbox One or Xbox 360 and do not have an Xbox Live Gold Membership, you too will be able to enjoy all the entertainment options. With over 170 entertainment apps, we know you surely won't be bored if you don't have a Gold Membership while waiting for your games to arrive. Here is a small list of your entertainment apps: Machinima, Twitch and Upload, popular video services like Netflix, Univision Deportes, GoPro, Red Bull TV and HBO GO, sports experiences like the NFL app for Xbox One, MLB.TV, NBA Game Time, NHL Game Center and more
