Ubisoft announced Trials Fusion at last years E3 and has since gone into hiding. Red Lynx has started gamers with the indoor underground setting to the wide open outdoor spaces of the wilderness, and now they are taking us into the high deifying future. With each evolution of a game, Trials Fusion appears to bring what fans have been accustom too and add even more elements within Fusion.
Racing towards high scaling jumps have always been a blast, but now we will also be able to scale these jumps with style. Performing back flips in the past has been fun, however, Red Lynx will now have these beautiful stunts serve an additional purpose. Performing stunts will add score bonuses as we race down these stunningly creative tracks.
Last years Trials Evolution added the bicycle for a different influence on the game mechanics, this year the team looks to be adding another pair of wheels with the addition of ATV's. No longer are we traversing our own created tracks on two wheels, but as we've seen in the above trailer, one of the dev's are racing against others on 4 wheels. How will this addition change our riding style? Adding the bicycle to last years game gave a much lighter mechanic, we would almost float across the track in certain area's. The addition of the ATV should feel more grounded this time round, adding weight and give us a more slower pace. For the creative fans, the track editor is returning with more features and functions than ever before. Creating competitions have already begun and we can only look for more in the future as the game has yet to be released.
As big fans of the series, we can hardly wait to grip the handle bars and crank on the gas to race among competitors and our friends. Trials Fusion will be coming this April 16th on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PC for $19.99 with a retail version that will include a seasons pass for $39.99.
Hang onto your seats and we will follow up with more news of Trails Fusion soon.
