Microsoft and Crytek are expanding the Ryse: Son of Rome experience by giving gamers a special holiday gift. A free update to Gladiator Mode that will include two new level events. Also available will be the first add-on pack, the Colosseum pack, that will add two new character skins and two new blood filled arenas for you to battle within.

The Gladiator Mode update will introduce a new enemy turret that will bombard you Gladiator with deadly arrows until the unit is destroyed. The other addition is the new Reward Statue, these Roman statues will appear from the sands to be activated for a one time use to help boost your Gladiator's Health or Focus.

Quiet...too quiet.

The first add-on pack, the Colosseum Pack is available for $3.99 through the Xbox Live Marketplace or included in the Season's pass. Two new area's for players to slice each other through - Henge and Ascension - and two new character skins to do it in, Commodus and Centurion.
