Mortal Kombat for the vita lives up to all the glory of the series. All the blood and gore, fatalities a person could want. Their is a large number of character to choose from, all the fighters from the console games plus the downloadable ones. Game play is smooth, no lags or issues with frame rate, an all around enjoyable port of a classic game.
All features we have come to love are here, blood, uppercuts, over the top fatalities, even Dan Forden appearing at the bottom of the screen with a
"Toasty" after some uppercuts.
Winning matches, completing the story chapters and doing fatalities gets you points to unlock numerous things. from concept art, to music to more fatalities for characters.
Game play:
All the normal moves are here, combos, special moves, x-ray moves from the console versions.
New modes have been added for the vita, test your swipe where you use the touch screen to slice fruit and shake the vita to blow bombs up.
Only complaint I have is in a tag match the right analog stick is how you call your team member into the fight. there are times when I hit the right stick accidentally when hitting some of the buttons.
you can change the button layout but no matter what you change the right stick to, there is still the chance ofhitting it accidentally. The story mode from the console versions is here, same overall story.
Graphics:
The game looks great on the vita screen. you can tell a difference between the cut scenes and the actual game play but both look great.
Sound:
game sound is good
Lasting appeal:
there are plenty of fatalities and other stuff to unlock that makes you want to play it again.
