About Antoni Cimolino
Antoni Cimolino is the Artistic Director of the renowned Stratford Festival in Stratford, Ontario. He began his acting career at Stratford in 1988. He then entered theatre management and stage direction in 1994 under Richard Monette as Artistic Director. Antoni became Executive Director in 1998 and General Director in 2007. He was instrumental in establishing the Festival’s Endowment Foundation. He was selected to become Artistic Director at the Strafford Festival in 2013, taking over from Des McAnuff. He served as the Founding Chair of Culture Days, a national celebration of arts and culture. He has collaborated with several prestigious theatre companies across North America and spearheaded a project to establish a performing arts centre in El Salvador. He is married to actress Brigit Wilson and they have two children. He was appointed in 2015 as a Member of the Order of Canada for contributions to Canadian theatre and for his arts leadership.
