Ticket takers welcome patrons, collect and tear or scan
tickets/passes and distribute programs. They also answer any
general inquiries from patrons. This position works closely and reports to the
House Manager on Duty.
Qualifications
Outgoing,
friendly, positive attitude;
Ability
to examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity, using criteria such as
color and date issued;
Able to
work as a part of a team with MCC personnel and other volunteers.
Usher
Ushers are responsible for seating the audience in a safe and efficient manner, including escorting patrons to assigned seats to ensure
accuracy, safety and with an aim to minimize disruptions to other patrons.
During the show, ushers are expected to watch audience (not show) and alert the
house manager on duty to any technical issues with the performance (such as lighting or sound levels),
audience disruptions or emergencies (patrons in need of medical attention). Upon conclusion of the event, ushers are
expected to sendoff patrons and to distribute promotional materials, as
necessary, and to assist in disassembling the room.

Enthusiastic interpersonal skills and enjoy interacting with others;
Able to give full attention and take the time to understand patrons and
ask questions when appropriate;
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend work
as needed.
