Do you know that 40% of those over 40 experience hearing loss and
this increases to 70% in those over 70 years?
We welcome you to be a part of Hearing Loss – Dealing with the Sounds of Silence, our 17th “Our Health" discussion, on Thursday, November 29th at 7:30 PM at the MCC. Dr. Keith Rose, the moderator, will be joined by four experts; Dr. Greg Price-Jones, Otolaryngologist - Head and Neck Surgeon, Andy Audia, Hearing Instrument Specialist, Dr. Kevin Young, Geriatrician, and Ross Hart from the Canadian Hearing Society.
At this live event, you will learn about:
- Causes, and tests to identify hearing loss
- Use of Technology dssistive devices
- Relationship between hearing loss and risk of dementia
- Support services available from the Canadian Hearing Society
For those with hearing loss, we have reserved the front row seats for you at the MCC.

We are excited to introduce, Live Open Captioning technology, which will display the entire presentation up on our live screen, converting sound to text in real time so you don’t miss a thing!
On site at this event, a representative of the Canadian Hearing Society will be in attendance to display several devices that amplify sound and provide answers to common questions.
