We’d like to inform our valued guests that Our Box Office hours will be changing as of November 1st! Our new Box Office hours will be Tuesdays through Saturdays 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Tickets are always available in person one hour prior to show start times. You may also purchase your tickets by phone or online at www.midlandculturalcentre.com.

TED BARRIS – November 1
With sold out events across the country, MCC and our sponsor, Raytheon Elcan Optical Technologies, are proud to present award-winning journalist, author and broadcaster, Ted Barris on November 1st. Ted brings history to life and will be featuring his latest book Dam Busters: Canadian Airmen and the Secret Raid against Nazi Germany, with dramatic accounts of the famous 1943 attack on the Ruhr River dams that powered Nazi Germany's industrial war production. Ted Barris is regular contributor to CBC radio, National Post, Air Force and Zoomer magazines. He is the author of 18 bestselling, non-fiction books, including a series on wartime Canada. We’re thrilled to have him with us!

PAVLO – November 11
A popular musician who has quickly become an MCC favourite featured artist, PAVLO will return to our stage on November 11th with his unique Mediterranean inspired instrumental performance. Born in Toronto to Greek parents, Pavlo has made a name for himself by offering a unique musical sound that blends Greek, Flamenco, Latin, and even Balkan sounds, wrapped in contemporary pop! Over the span of his 20-year career, Pavlo has become internationally renowned as an award-winning recording artist, performer and songwriter, releasing 11 albums of his own music. His sound has taken him all around the world including performances for Prince Charles and touring with artists such as José Feliciano, Jon Secada, Olivia Newton-John and The Tenors. We expect Pavlo to deliver another delightful performance and bring the MCC audience to its feet!

THE JERRY CANS – November 22
A performance not to be missed! THE JERRY CANS were one of the most praised artists at the 2018 Juno Awards and they will be hitting the stage at MCC on November 22nd sponsored by Chigamik Community Health Centre. The Jerry Cans are a distinctly northern, one-of-a-kind group. These fast rising northern stars create a blend of music inspired by their hometown of Iqaluit, Nunavut that features a unique mix of Inuktitut alt-country, throat singing, and reggae.

The band is committed to representing northerners and perform many of their songs in Inuktitut. They are passionate about preserving the language and challenging common misconceptions about life in the Arctic. Their music evokes the contemporary north and the spirited people that reside there, and they have rapidly developed a reputation for engaging both elders and a younger generation - which have forced people to take notice of this high-energy group! Members include vocalist and guitarist Andrew Morrison, vocalist and accordionist Nancy Mike, violinist Gina Burgess, bassist Brendan Doherty and drummer Steve Rigby. Fun Fact: The band's name derives from band member Steve Rigby, who once trying to build a drum set out of old jerrycans. BOOK TICKETS!
