We have a very special guest on the next edition of “A Day in the Life”.Max Eisen is a survivor of the notorious Nazi Auschwitz Concentration Camp and the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration/Extermination Camp. He also survived the infamous “Death March” of 1945. At the age of 15, his family was rounded up. Max survived the “selection” process and became a slave labourer at the camps. His family were all exterminated. He suffered alone: physically, emotionally and mentally. He then endured a long journey of physical and psychological healing. He has written a book “By Chance Alone” which tells his remarkable story of courage and survival. Max is one of a group of Holocaust survivors who has dedicated his life to teaching the next generations about the moral and ethical lessons to be learned from the Nazis treatment of Jews and other minorities.Tickets are selling very quickly for this program and we want to ensure that you have a chance to experience this remarkable story firsthand.The program will be presented at the Rotary Hall of the Midland Cultural Centre on Thursday, February 15 at 7:30 pm (Doors open at 7 pm).
