A DAY IN THE LIFE WITH FATHER MICHAEL KNOX
Join us for
A Day In The Life with Father Michael Knox
on Thursday, December 14th
Father Michael Knox is a member of one of the oldest “companies” in the world. Founded in 1540, the “Company of Jesus”, now the Society of Jesus (or Jesuits) set out to “help souls and do it heroically”. Now, almost 400 years later, the Society not only survives but has prospered as the largest fully integrated religious order in the world.
This Thursday evening, we’ll
explore the life of Father Michael, the
Director of Martyrs’ Shrine and the
Superior of the local Jesuit Community. We’ll learn about why he entered the priesthood, why he chose to join the Jesuits, his religious formation, and what inspires him in his calling. There’s much more to Father Michael than his almost two decades of post-secondary education. He’s been active in pastoral care to youth, in event management, in high school education, in seminary formation, in television, in university lecturing, and so much more. At the Martyrs’ Shrine, he has spearheaded the creation of a permanent Jesuit community and undertaken many structural improvements. And he has had working meetings with two Popes!
Father Michael is a bright, engaging, inspiring, personable and humorous man. You’ll enjoy getting to know him better on
Thursday evening at the
MCC. Doors open at 7 pm.
Show time is 7:30 pm.
Tickets are available online or at the MCC Box Office.
