We’re delighted to welcome singer/songwriter Tommy Ambrose as our guest on Tuesday, September 5th on “A Day in the Life”.
Tommy’s musical career launched at the age of 5 when he began singing at religious rallies for evangelist Charles Templeton. At 15, he heard a Frank Sinatra album; it changed his musical direction and the course of his life. By 20, he was hosting “Cross Canada Hit Parade” on CBC TV and later “The Tommy Ambrose Show” on CBC TV. He then began to sing in clubs and toured the country. He found his niche in singing commercially, including “jingles” for Brylcreem, milk, Labatt’s, Wrigley’s gum, eggs, and many other iconic commercials. He did TV specials and then got involved in writing movie themes. He composed the original music for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics . More recently he has developed musical shows including “Songs Sinatra Taught Me”.Tommy Ambrose is an iconic Canadian entertainer with many great stories. Join us for “A Day in the Life of Tommy Ambrose” on Tuesday, September 5th at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7 pm). Pre-show we’ll be playing Tommy’s album “Songs Sinatra Taught Me”.
