We have had some amazing acts so far this summer with Ashley MacIsaac, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Teenage Head, and The Drifters featuring Rick Sheppard. On September 1st we will wrap up our summer series with CELEBRATE THE PLATTERS starring Norris Vines. Take a walk down memory lane with songs like "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes", "Only You", "The Great Pretender”, "I'm Sorry", "Twilight Time" and many more, you won't want to miss it.
On September 5th, singer-song writer TOMMY AMBROSE will join host Fred Hacker on A Day In The Life. Tommy Ambrose is a Canadian entertainment icon. He hosted "the Tommy Ambrose Show" on CBC Television. He spent three years singing radio and television commercials in New York City studios. Tommy has written several successful jingles that are recognized immediately (Labatt Blue, milk, eggs, City TV). He has been nominated for a Juno Award and was the co-creator and writer of "A Man and His Music" (the music of Frank Sinatra).
Returning to the MCC on September 10th is J.P. CORMIER! J.P. is a Canadian bluegrass/folk/Celtic singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.To date he was won thirteen East Coast Music Award and one Canadian Folk Music Award. J.P. Cormier is a man with many musical talents and is definitely a fan favourite at the MCC. Get your tickets today!
The OUR HEALTH series is back on September 12th with GOING VIRAL. We are all vulnerable to infection but there are proven ways to keep healthy and stay infection free. Come listen to our experts and discuss with them the benefits of immunization and the prevention of outbreaks. This is a free event with registration.
ART SLAM also returns for a second year on September 22nd. Come out and watch 24 artists compete in an epic paint off! There will be a Silent Art Auction as well as a Dance Party with DJ Sidetract! All profits will support Quest Art School & Gallery and the Midland Cultural Centre.
