JANUARY AT THE MCC
Carla here from the MCC. We have some great shows in store for you to kick off the New Year.
On January 14
th THE SLOCAN RAMBLERS come to the MCC. This is Canada’s young bluegrass band to watch! Rooted in the tradition, fearlessly creative, and possessing a bold, dynamic sound, The Slocan Ramblers have quickly become a leading light of Canada’s roots music scene, built on their reputation for energetic live shows, impeccable musicianship and their uncanny ability to convert anyone within earshot into a lifelong fan. This is one show you will want to see.
On January 15
th double Juno Award winner and seven-time Maple Blues Award recipient
JACK DE KEYZER returns to the MCC for a rock ’n blues night of great music. Always touring with an incredible band, Jack will have you rocking in your seat and swaying to his hot blues, soulful R&B and cool soul jazz. Jack is the master of live performance and is said to be the finest blues guitarist in Canada. Don’t miss out!
If you haven’t bought your tickets yet for
54-40 UNPLUGGED, there are still a few tickets left but not many. 54-40 is one of the most important popular music groups to emerge from the Canadian cultural landscape and will be performing at the MCC on January 20
th. I am sure we are all able to sing along to their hit songs "Baby Ran", "I Go Blind" and "Ocean Pearl".
Giving Canada’s old time sounds a renewal into modern roots harmonies
SEARSON performs at the MCC on January 22nd. Seamlessly blending spirited fiddling, energetic dancing and gorgeous harmonies Searson has been a refreshing and exciting change at every festival, theater and live concert performance. Searson is two multi-talented sisters that play a variety of instruments and are expert step dancers. Piano, organ, fiddle, tenor guitar, acoustic guitar and bass are all highlighted in their live performances.
